Tevar is an upcoming indian 2014 Bollywood film directed by Amit Sharma and written by Gunasekhar. The film stars Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Manoj Bajpayee in lead roles. It is a remake of director Gunasekhar's 2003 Telugu film Okkadu, starring Mahesh Babu and Bhoomika Chawla,which was a huge hit. The film is scheduled for release on January 9, 2015.

In November 2013, news reported that Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha have joined the upcoming untitled film producing by Boney Kapoor, which is a remake of 2003 Telugu hit film Okkadu with Mahesh Babu playing the lead. [1][2] On 10 December 2013, the film was entitled to Tevar and it was revealed that Kapoor will play the role of a regular college kid from Agra, who is a Kabaddi champion.[3] On 17 December 2013 it was announced that Sanjay Kapoor will be producing the film, directing debut of Amit Sharma.[4] Manoj Bajpayee also joined the film on 30 December, he will play the role of a villain.
Filming: The shooting of the film began on 21 January 2014 at sambhar lake in Jaipur, Rajasthan.[7] The film's shooting continued in different locations including Mumbai, Maheshwar, Agra, Mathura,Pandharpur at river side of Chandrabhaga and also in Haridas ves in Pandharpur (solapur,Maharashtra) Akluj (Solapur,Maharashtra) .[6] The first look of the movie was released on 19 February 2014.[8]

International Punjabi singer Imran Khan of Unforrgetable album has recorded a track named Let's Celebrate and also shot video for the same song.
